Hi all,
I've never actually progressed any Total War campaign since I began playing them with Rome: Total War beyond say, turn 80 - I either get bored, or start getting beat up and quit(sore loser, I guess!) The fact I used to be a massive reload Prince probably didn't help in that my "perfect" campaigns where I'd eek every possible result out of a turn reached a point where something unexpected happened and tipped over my proverbial apple cart, and I couldn't handle it. I'm going to try and stop playing like that.
As a result of how I've always played, I've hardly ever seen a campaign progress, advance, and evolve. Could someone post a 'time-line' of significant events that happen in game, along with what year to expect them? E.g.
1080 - Early Campaign Start
1220 - Late Campaign Start
1280 - English Longbow Men
1300 - The Plague
1320 - Mongols Invade
1340 - Timurids Invade
1350 - Gunpowder Event
1400 - Campaign End
I am likely to be playing SS 6.4 + BGRV which is Late Campaign only, so this would be my main focus - but I've always preferred Early Campaign so it'd be nice to see what I'll be bypassing, if anything. Always just seemed to be like 100 years of Militia Spearmen.
Thanks!
