    Default Historical Reforms (Datewise)

Could someone please tell me the correct historical years for the specific military reforms? And i mean all of them, not just the roman ones. Obviously, I want them to occur when they did historically; I know how to implement it, I just need the years

    Thank yooouuu!

Well, exact date is impossible, even Marian refroms were rather time taking transformation, instead of: "ok at this year we make the reform"

I do feel that they should be pushed back a little, especially for the Romans as they are having the Marian reforms before the second Punic war.

Well rough dates then^^ Marian Reforms at 107BC, Polybian at 290BC or so (which should be pushed back, as you did, to make a bit of room for camillan era armies, since the transition in armament was not finished for some years anyway). Those are the only ones I know so far. Information like that would be appreciated. I mean you didnt pull the times at which you have hellenic or germanic armies transition from one form to another out of your asses, right?

Many of them are geared towards gameplay, not a historical date. For example, I'm sure that by 272 BCE all the Greek states had adopted the use of pikemen in some form (then again, I think Sparta might not have until Cleomenes' reforms in 227 BCE, so... hmmm...), but in the game they don't get access to them until the Thureos reform (Thureophoroi units were probably in wide use at that point too). For many of the reforms, there simply isn't a clear historical timeframe when they happened, except that we know some equipment was in use "during the 3rd century BCE." That's a pretty big timeframe.

And some of the very late reform units may be entirely imagined (but plausible, if that faction had expanded). I'm not totally sure of course, as most units are plausible enough that they could've existed anyway. Still, a unit of Spartiatai Thorakitai that fights in "the Roman fashion" seems a bit odd - I don't think such a unit ever existed, but it is possible.
