New World and AI

I'm not sure if somebody has played enough to see this happen but... Does the AI try to conquer the New World? Or does it try to take it off your hands? It would be really cool to have some kind of colonial war over there.

i believe it does make a grab for the new world, consdering theres supposed to be massive wealth there, would be great to have say france and england both going for the new world and fighting at the new world and europe at the same time. the new world could be a great way to provoke wars with other catholics.

Yes it will be lol Im going to make sure im frist over there and take cuba as it is basically in the center and from there creat armies and from there add garrasion and wait for them to take riches and provoke a war so it gives the reason to the pope to let me kill them muhaha
