    Icon5 How to Enable Hotseat?

    I used to hotseat with my brothers a long time ago. Just playing on one computer and there has been few steam updates that has changed the way you enable hotseat?

    If there is a new way to enable it on Stainless Steel 6.4, can anyone help me with that?

    Been searching everywhere on the forums. Would really appreciate it

    Thanks

    Please, anyone? I am sure it is really simple. Leading me to the right thread would be a great help if nothing else.

    find your medieval2.preference in MTW2. Right click on it, properties, untick read-only, save, ok.

    open medieval2.preference with notepad (my choice is notepad ++), copy/paste this:

    [hotseat]
    autoresolve_battles = 0
    disable_console = 1
    disable_papal_elections = 1
    passwords = 1
    save_prefs = 1
    update_ai_camera = 0
    validate_diplomacy = 1

    then save. Again: right click on medieval2.preference , properties, tick read-only, save, ok.

    It is done, have fun

    btw you can check this sub forum as well:

    if its on one computer only you can turn on defensive battles for your campaign (only when the AI attacks you though) too. you cannot defend against yourself attacking with another faction. dont forget to make the medieval.preferences.cfg read only so it is not changed back on restart to default

    [multiplayer]
    playable = true

    [hotseat]
    turns = false
    scroll = false
    autoresolve_battles = false
    disable_console = true
    disable_papal_elections = true
    save_prefs = true
    update_ai_camera = true
    validate_diplomacy = true
