    Default Increase Army Limit?

Now that the civil war has been fixed, does it make sense to increase army limits by a modest amount (say 20-40%)? Seems like army limits were reduced when the civil war was a 1:1 spawn to avoid having to fight 20 rebel armies. That's no longer an issue.

Has civil wars really been fixed?

I would like the possibility of eliminating opposing political factions completely. And in regards of army limits, wouldn't it be nice to have none at all (governed by your income/their upkeep solely) - and being able to have units led by captains instead of generals all the time?

But with CA one can only dream I suppose.

Yeah, I don't mean that civil wars are what they should be. But, if I understand correctly, the civil wars are not simply a spawn of rebel armies in a 1:1 ratio to the player's armies. So avoiding civil war rebel spam is no longer a reason to keep army limits low.

Army limits were never about the civil wars (at least for me). I think it promotes more strategic thinking in how and where you must commit your forces.

Yes, civil wars mechanics works good for now. You can't just use every general, you need to think about each promotion! In my Rome campaign I am at 280 turn, still without any civil war on sight In other words, DeI promotes thinking ;D

A bit off topic, but not worthy of a new thread, I have a single party faction (Sparta) and my influence is at 71% yet I still receive the low chance of Civil war message, is there a point I can get to that I have no chance?
I have already had 2 Civil wars in our head to head campaign, both times were low chance, Normal difficulty.

Civil war chances will also increase as your imperium increases. I'm playing an IA campaign now where I'm at maximum imperium, so I've got a high chance of civil war even above 90% influence. If you want to keep your civil war chances low, keep your imperium low - make alliances instead of making client states or conquering.

From what I read recently in a thread with the single party factions the higher the influence the better, however with multi party factions, Rome and Carthage, they need to keep a balance.
I read a table that said for a single party faction, 65% influence gave a low chance, I have 71%, I was just wondering if I had 80% or higher it would remove the chance all together.

That's what I'm saying. All the IA factions are single party factions. You'll only be able to remove the chance altogether if you keep your imperium level low. If you have imperium 7 and 80% influence, there's still a chance.

Yeah, I was just looking through the database and found the values, you are right in the fact that with me having a Imperium of 4 I'm going to have a low chance anyway, no matter what my influence, My opponent who is playing as Rome has an Imperium of 5, and does not seem to have any chance at all, yet according to the DB he should have a medium chance, 3% per turn, or is this because he is multi party?
