Default I want more info on the raze option when caturing settlements.

watched a video from the official ca twitch channel and, it was being liberally used by the player and AI.

would like to know the exact affects it has.

I know the city is destroyed. the player can rebuild it with 50% of an army stack. but can it be completely restored? or is there permanent damage? I personaly think permanent/lingering damage would be stupid.

so, anyone got any reliable info?

No. People selling the fear of you having to live without their products." freakin' A, was he right. Fear of aging, fear of loneliness, fear of poverty, fear of failure. Fear is the most basic emotion we have. Fear is primal. Fear sells.” WWZ

As I understand it there is no permanent damage. But it cost a good deal of money. I guess all buildings must be replace from scratch and it would make sense if the settlement lost all it's accumulated population in the process.

as long as there is no perma dmg I am extremely ok with rebuilding. guess I would have to wait till release to find out.

It fundamentally works like the post-conquest "razing" of Rome 2 settlements, with some other peculiarities. No permanent damage, all buildings destroyed or at lvl 1, population/fertility/public order changes and a direct cost to rebuild.
