Default Your thoughts on the Iceni?

I have several questions concerning the Iceni.

    1. How is their position when they have conquered the entirety of Britain and Ireland?
    2. How is their roster compared to the Averni and Suebi?
    3. Can they hold their own against the more 'developed' factions with hoplites and legionaires?
    4. Your general experience with the Iceni?

I'm interested since I'd love to start a campaign with them but am kind of in unknown territory since I've mostly played with the Successors.

Iceni have the best charge out of all barbarian infantry. That is their main strength and that is how they should be used. They have some tanky units too, but they suffer a bit in prolonged combat with heavies. Their roster is quite diverse and uniqure in some aspects compared to other barb nations.

I'm actually playing an Iceni campaign as I type, they're a lot of fun and I love how they look. However I don't know if this is your domain KAM but the champion units need to have the inspire trait. I loved that about the Casse (British faction in Europa Barabaroum) was that they had decent regular infantry but without the morale boost of your badass champions they could waver quickly. In DeI though a unit of Britannic axemen can fight the 'Calawre' champion unit to a draw and they aren't worth the extra cost and upkeep with no inspire trait.

TL;DR Inspire trait needed on Iceni champion units.

    And to your questions Diadochi
    1. its very secure. I literally conquered Ireland about an hour ago and now I'm beginning preparations to invade the mainland.

    2. They're roster is quite large, they have everything from solid line infantry to two handed sword masters. As KAM said they're charge is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. Looking now even their basic infantry have over 40 charge bonus or above. Additionally they have strong champion (regardless of what I said above they can beat many a unit into the ground) and druid units to support the line and morale. Another useful thing is their skirmishers which are quite capable in melee. Your basic slingers, as long as they don't get wrecked on the charge, can take on light-medium cav and other light infantry.

    3. I have not gotten to those factions yet but the charge is important and as always against those factions flanking is key. 300 men with 50 charge bonus into a back of any unit is going to do a lot of
    damage fast.
