A very odd issue.

So I opened the launcher and clicked on continue campaign, but the game crashes , so I start it normal without clicking on the continue campaign launcher only to find out the my auto save has been deleted for some reason. No problem I loaded a previous saved game from the main menu and it worked fine but when I end the turn, the game crashes again...

I don't understand what is going on :l .... everything was fine this morning

That indeed sounds strange but nevertheless I don't think this issue is related to DeI. CA had some problems with the "continue campaign" button but they said they patched it recently (I think with patch 16).
I never use that button I rather do it manually although it might take a little more time ( but I am usually a patient guy )

I once had an end-turn crash too but I just reloded my last save hit end-turn again and magically it didn't crash. So jsut try again. You could also try to just perform one action like moving one army slightly, from others reports I know that this usually helps and makes the game not crash!

Maybe steam updated some of your mods that made the savefiles not beeing compatible?
