Night attacks
I looked up night attacks and what was supposed to be good about them. I read something about only the units that can do night attacks are allowed to take part in the battle, you get +1 to command, the AI pushes all the units out of the castle to attack if you are sieging etc. but everything that says (apart from the +1 to command as I'm not sure about that) seems to be the exact opposite of what just happened to me. I don't know if this is because everything I was reading was for vanilla maybe or was old info or what but none of the above happened.
I just attacked a castle with a night attack commander, my entire army came in, the AI's entire army was there, no army came out of the castle, in fact everything was the exact same save for it being night time (which was neat looking since it was the first time I'd seen that.) Anyway, what gives?

Re: Night attacks
I think you misunderstood.
It's not that single units in an army can't participate in the battle, but rather if there's multiple armies that normally would join in the battle, if you attack during the night, only those armies with a general capable of doing night battle will join.
Example: You (A) attack enemy army 2 during the day, and enemy army 1 and 3 would join in.
If you attack during the night you'd only fight enemy army 2, unless 1 or 3 had the NightBattle trait.:
1-2-3

Re: Night attacks
Ah, ok, thanks Perxx. I did misunderstand. I can see that being useful for some battles.
