Default Merging Units with Different Bonuses

Does anyone know what happens when you merge two units, one of which has bonuses that the other does not?

For example, let's say I have:
Hastati A: 90% men, +10% charge bonus (from recruitment)
Hastati B: 80% men, no charge bonus

If I CTRL+M to merge men from Hastati B into Hastati A, does A keep the charge bonus?

What about if it's reversed, and you were merging from A (with bonus) into B (without)? Would B then get the bonus?

Why don't you test it yourself and post the answers?

    Wow you can merge units???
Thats totally new to me. Thanks for bringing this up I really didn't notice this feature despite hundreds of hours of game-play! Always nice to learn something new when you thought you know everything about a game!
    +rep for that

To answer your question: from my logic I think boni are attached to units so if you merge men from B to A, A will keep its bonus. But if you merge from A to B, B won't get the bonus (in other words the men from A will loose it). Thats just an assumption but I will try and test

I learned about the merge real late into R2 too... it balances out with the "only general" armies in some situations.
