[MTW2] No Sound!?

After around 2-3 hours of gameplay during a battle MTW2 muted itself somehow, so I decided to Google and found only that I should re-Install it. So I did, and it did work okay around 1 hour or so, and then the same thing again. Could someone please tell me the way to fix this? It is not worth re-installing it over and over again just to get one god-damn hour of sound. I got the CD Gold edition and a PC that can and does run MTW2 at max settings, as my PC came out after it I see no reason for it not to have the sound drivers, so it can't be that. Any ideas ?

When in campaign, press escape and go to sound options. The mute sound box is probably ticked. It's the only thing I can think of. It happens sometimes for me, I assume because I hit a wrong key.
