The Moors comes to meet my french to conclude an alliance. I asked them the city of Grenade in exchange, and they said "ok , you are very generous"..... a bit excessive IMO. I play on level normal.

may be they realy want your help against the Spanish and you have a higher millitary rateing than the Moors and the Spanish so they see the benifit in having you as being greater than the benifit of having that setalment.

He wants to say that the diplomatic AI isn't great cause giving a city for an alliance is pretty stupidOriginally Posted by shadyrome

But I haven't found this in the file.
It's easy there numbers in descr_strat you want lesser rebels increase them to 999.PS. it's sound strange but I've read that, maybe someone can explain better.I play vh and my enemies won't give up to ceasefire even I offer them a province.

Seems pretty smart to me.
For instance as Sicily my Milanese allies attacked Florence. I beat their army then tried to get a ceasfire with them. They refused. 4 turns later after a Papal mission to blockade Genoa and Venice declaring war on them they were more than willing to accpet my ceasefire.

I've found a "disable gladiator rebellion" in the descr strat :hmmm:
Yeah, of course like in rome, a very cunning plan, they give you their best city just to attack you two turns later.Very machiavelic.Originally Posted by shadyrome

maybe they want to give up the settlement of grenada so its cut off, you help them take spain, then your settlement is surrounded by them and they take it back. so basically you just borrowed their city and helped them gain control of a border right upagainst yours, then they take your city back and war with you.
or maybe they wanted to just rip you off right away in the trade deal, grenada would have a large muslim population, resulting in a likely rebellion soon or you could be in trouble with the pope for having a majority of muslims in one of your cities.
one annoying that is still in the game is that when an enemy of mine allies with an ally, a ceasefire is declared which breaks a siege. didntt like it when that happened in RTW
