Started playing Stainless Steel again, and I'm currently doing a VH/VH campaign as Lithuania. I've encountered a strange bug involving ransoming generals. Twice now I've killed the leaders of two different factions in battle, and after each battle I get the option ransom back their leader for a huge sum (over 10,000). The AI on Very Hard has no problem paying for these ransoms, however after I get the payment for the ransom I get a message saying their faction leader has died. So basically the game is allowing me to ransom dead faction leaders, and it's making things a bit easier than it should be.
