Need some help with DeI on Mac

I've seen various posts over multiple forums that people have been able to run DeI on Mac (steam) version. Including the most recent one. If anyone runs mac and DeI or knows what could be done your input would be greatly appreciated.

Ive run many other mods on mac but the only overhaul I've gotten to work is Radious which isn't quite to my taste. Would the size of the mod be a possible issue? I'm on a macbook air mid 2012 1.8Ghz Intel core i5. Intel Hd graphics 4000. Ive never had an issue running Rome 2. I used terminal to change the text document to an executable file as well. gets stuck at rome 2 startup page. Any ideas or suggestions?

I unfortunately don't have any knowledge in this area to help . I believe there are some workarounds for Mac mods but if you have been successful with others I am not sure why you would not be with DeI.

The extra load on the PC would be evident after you get into a campaign/battle and shouldn't affect startup. Crashing at startup is usually a mod conflict of some type on PC version.

I'm running it perfectly on my mac (as perfect as it can get, my mac is getting kinda old but it runs no worse than vanilla).

Didn't do anything special, just followed these http://forums.totalwar.com/showthrea...mperor-Edition instructions.

What I didn't do is update to the latest OS yet (running 10.9.4).

hmm I'm on 10.8.5.. maybe that has something to do with it? Otherwise I have no idea because I've tried everything I can think of. What I do know is that I want to play DeI badly. I was running Toon's AIO on my macbook through bootcamp but I was always watching my memory usage so I deleted the partition once I saw mods were available on mac and now I can't get AIO or DEI. And Radious is good and all but it's just not my thing.

I've been having the same problems. The game doesn't even seem to register to mod... it just starts the game in vanilla mod... if any one has some tips im all ears! And i am aware of the total war forum thread, which ive been using

I hope someone can shed some new light on the matter. I am unable to get DEI to work on my Mac.

The grand campaign apparently has strange issues depending on OS. But others should function

Hello Dresden, thank you for replying so swiftly. I think you misunderstood my question however. I am not talking about Macedon, I am talking about getting the mod to work on my Macbook.

Our mac tester found that it runs well for campaigns outside the grand campaign, but I can't speak to it personally

Ah in that sense. I am having issues getting the game to run the mod in the first place. You can imagine my frustration having to play vanilla R2TW.
