Which steppe faction do you reccomend?

I want to play one of the nomadic tribes.
But I am conflicted in which one to play,

royal scythians seem to get best faction bonusses for horse archers but their roster seems so inferior to saka's in custom battle,
Are the rosters really that different from these 3 tribes?

I'ld like to know which faction would have the best horse archers available.

Also does the general's "Light missile cavalry" only affect the light ones or also the elite heavier ones? (probably not but one can hope no ?)

And some shock/melee cavalry shows they have bows but not the stats on teh stat card for me.. is this intended or how to fix it?

Saka Rauka

The roster still seem to be an on going process, most of the fringe faction's roster at the moment are often incomplete or short or have wrong stats assigned to them. But anyway.

Saka Rauka's probably the hardest in terms of starting position, it not only starts with minor settlement but also a lot of enemies around them and they are one of the most landlocked faction in the game, meaning you'll be poor for a loooong time. you HAVE to gamble correctly on when to attack. (aka, you have to wait for your two immediate neighbor to fall, then immediately siege and take that settlement the next turn.) I'd say Saka's start is probably one of the 3 hardest (others being Epirus and Carthage.) you can make an argument that they might be harder than those two, who at least have some money.

Scythia's the one where things gets easier sooner, as the first settlement they capture will have port, though after that it gets tricky for them as they are going to run a two front war in many campaign.

Roxi have the safest starting position, but once you take out Saka Rauka you inherit a lot of their problem.
