    Default Medieval 2 Gold Edition problem

    First of all greetings fellow Total War lovers I am very to this community but not to the TW series and I hope I'll make a good addition to this forum.

    I recently bought the Medieval 2 Gold Edition of of Amazon. When I try to install it, the game simply freezes up at the install menu and DemoShield crashes. Has anyone ever had a similar problem and if yes, did you manage to fix it?
    Also my CD makes really weird noises as if it's scraping the disk. I used a couple of other CDs to make sure the problem wasn't with the device and it wasn't. Has any of you ever encountered this issue ?

    Try disabling your anti-virus during installation. I had similar problems installing games with Panda Anti-virus.
