    Default Level 3 Garrison Capital

    I am playing a Roman file and had captured the insubres capital many turns ago, and now I'm at war with the Nori, Kori, and Helvetii.


    While I sent one army up to take out the Kori, the Helvetii sent two stacks, a 12 and 16, to attack that capital city which was built to a level 3 garrison capital.


    I figured it'd be fine since it had a large garrison and the extra artillery.

    Well, to my shock once I got into the battle, I wasn't able to deploy any artillery at all.


    Is this a bug? Why would it tell me I can deploy four artillery if in reality I get zero artillery?

    This is probably going to cost me this capital city, I can take it back, but it's annoying to lose it in the first place when I was counting on holding it until reenforcements arrived.

    It seems the level 3 major cities are having issues with artillery. Everything seems to be properly set in the db values, the only thing I can think of is that by increasing the value they actually go away. However, I thought I saw a report on a basic level 3 city that had a similar issue. I am not sure if it is a vanilla bug or something caused by trying to increase the artillery count. I will do some testing.

    Huh. I have no idea what could be causing it.

    I do know you can't use defensive deployables in a city unless a general is stationed in it though. Could the artillery somehow be tied into how you added deployables to defensive siege battles?
    I didn't have a general stationed inside this particular city at the time of the siege.


    At any rate, I'll just adjust accordingly and take into account I might not have siege equipment in higher level cities.

    I think it's a vanilla bug, I remember having the same issue in Radious's mod, I've played in hundreds of sieges and only once saw artillery, and even that one time they were pretty useless.
