1)Did you remove the ability to levy from client states? I subjugated the scordisci only to find i couldnt recruit any levies in their territory. Also same thing happened with Breuci so i assume this wasn't a mistake.
2)Another thing I noticed... the authority skill for your general.... the level 4 skills for authority... it doesn't work on more then 1-3 units surrounding my general as Rome... Rally works appropriately though. I supposed this too was intentional?
3)Also, upgrading your early general unit to senate guard seems like a big waste of cash to me because you lose the wedge formation and gain nothing but a new appearance...
4)Many culturally different buildings from Rome still give the same benefits as the building when changed to roman type culture. E.g. newly conquered copper and fish villages encourage you not to Romanize, as theirs no penalty not to. Same goes for fisheries/farms.
5) If you can do something about the auto battle system when fighting a mass of a unit... Those types of matches are rigged and it's my theory that it has to do with the stances you're allowed to take before battle. Obviously the ai will pick protective stance if they have an army full of javelin slaves. This gives them a huge bonus against my mixed army of hastati, principes, triarii, cretan archers, and ballistas (until i recently added the siege submod, which made all autobattles with ballista involved op and broken imo.) In a real battle, 1 general can storm through thousands of missiles units due to their automatic skirmish modes. I'd either like the autobattle to reflect this or the whole skirmish mode thing changed and perhaps rework rebellions to include (i'm sure you were already on your way to doing this) more varied units. And of course all naval battles must be auto resolved.
6) It is of my opinion that DEI (being so historically accurate) would benefit from the "Transports through ports only mod..." Discuss?
7) Does anyone know if CA completely removed the feature for selling/buying food via diplomacy? Mayhaps some ambitious modder can pick up where they left off? I know that at this point i'm being unrealistic but hey it's work discussing.
8) I know this one for sure you can't do much about but I will say that I'm extremely tired of having to fight on the same barbarian provincial capital map every time. Reason being is that I've found a way to win that map with 0-1% casualties consistently and i must say it's extremely boring. Perhaps an auto sally on land lock provinces?
9)Still able to recruit early principe ships after reforms... i'm about 95 turns in now and can't recruit anything else early except that unit.
10)I really wish every unit in the game could use loose formation. it adds so much depth to the game. One modder even made a close formation mod but that took the place of the loose formation slot and he discontinued it. But it's interesting things like that keep me coming back. More so if you can incorporate the ai to use this when they are being fired upon but never when they are in combat (too easily broken.)
11)Can something be done about using that charge through anything cheat? Cavalry are too broken if you're a human IMO.
12) It is of my humble opinion that you should rethink all the general skill cards. Especially but not only the diplomacy skill card (giving minor diplomacy bonuses.) I find myself giving at least 1 diplomacy level to each of my generals and this is breaking the game. Some of those cards give me bonuses that I can't even fathom. 50% ammunition for that level 3 skill card quartermaster... just wow a whole extra javelin for each of my hastati and an extra 25-30 stones for my slingers ot to mention my ballista.? without even being near a city? without even having a clear road to your cities? These cards are super buffers and are too op and can definitely ruin a game if you ask me (either by making it too easy or too hard.) Those enemy rank 9 generals always and I mean always take the night battle card and ALWAYS USE NIGHT BATTLE! It's really annoying... remove it or make it so that only 1-10% of them use/get it. All those skill cards need to be nerfed down to army tradition sizes. The traditions seem well balanced and also allow any general to take command of that army. That's all good and gravy however, general skills (when you can pop 2 skills per level and only 1 tradition) just seem wrong. Some ancillaries are also too op. I am noticing you changed a few of them... regarding mostly charge bonuses. I can name quite a few that I use which are game changers. #1 statuette of ceres (plus 5 food) that one literally saves me every time. #2 any ancillary cards that promote diplomacy (alongside the skillcard for diplomacy) this makes for a broken game. Maybe Governors should be the only ones allowed to have such skills among their cards and ancillaries. #3 that card that gives you 2 exp chevrons to cavalry and increased their stats permanently when recruited (this one i've stopped using all together.) I don't suggest removing anything I posted rather just nerfing the poopy out of it.
For the love of Rome.
