Stencil Shadows?

Hi, does anyone know how to turn on these shadows? The preferences.cfg setting doesnt do anything. Also in the shadows options None and Lowest seem to do the same thing, and Low starts showing real-time shadows which is unnecessary stress for me. Does anyone know any 2d shadows i can turn on?

Ah maybe they will add them some time. I remember they started popping up only in 1.5 in RTW.

Maybe they can be enabled via cfg preferences somehow?
I really like shadows, without them some realism is lost, somehow everything looks odd without them, but whenever I turn them on (even on low/lowest) it lags as ****** hell
So is there a possibility? I really want them back

(P.S. Btw I really liked RTW BI stencil shadows, almost no performance drop and they looked nice)

Bumping this old forgotten issue.
So is it possible to have stencil shadows like in RTW BI now that Kingdoms is out?
I can't play with shadows on (even on lowest) and it just don't look normal without them.
Please let me know if somebody figures this shadow lag problem out
