    Default Siege Weapons on walls?

    Hi there,

I have been playing DEI so far for 170 or so turns and it's great! It is the most immersive R2 experience I have ever had.

I was wondering if there is any plan to improve defensive siege weapons on city walls?

One thing that bugged me about vanilla R2 was how useless the siege weapons on walls were. There is little point in bulding a defensive-type city center as it only gives you 1 extra garrison unit and 1 extra artillery.

The scorpion on the walls seems prone to getting 'stuck' and stop firing at even slight angles possibly due to the crenellations obstructing their line of sight?

Also, with the reduced accuracy of the ballista, it was quite discouraging getting 2 direct flaming shot hits on an enemy wooden siege ladder without it getting destroyed.
It seems it would be much more effective to use a catapult style siege weapon, that used multiple stones or pellets to utilize a sort of 'shotgun' effect as the opposing troops get closer to the walls. Hurling one stone at a time at long range seems really inefficient and not worth the time and resources to be used at all.

I dont know if this is something that can be modded or maybe it's just hardcoded though?

One thing that would add is to remove the ballistas on the walls and exchange them with scorpions in the garrison army. So you could place it anywhere you want to

Your lucky, in all the siege battles I have ever played, I have only seen the artillery appear once, every other time they are not available for deployment.

As others noted, at the moment it is useless except in some very rare circumstances, I'm not sure what can be changed though, I think the biggest would be to somehow allow them to at least rotate a little bit so they can actually cover areas not directly in front of them.
