    Default Accent Files

    HI

Could anyone be kind enough to post the file for the accents because mine has the English with the French accent and they keep saying "victory for France"

Not sure but maybe replacing the necessary files will fix this?

    Thanks

they all speak english, just with different accents
so are your "english" guys speaking with french accent? or are your french guys speaking english with a french accent?

some new factions (new in ss that is) use other voices though, eg the ones for the crusader states also reference france mostly ... guess it was the closes thing

Anyone please? Playing as England and characters speaking in a french accent and saying things as if I was playing as France.

    One thing you can try:

First check if your descr_sounds_accents.txt are correct. I.e, Factions England listed under Accent English.
If so, try deleting the eight .dat and .idx files from the data\sounds folder. That should force the game to re-create the files and hopefully fix the accents being assigned wrongly.
Make sure you make a backup first, in case something goes wrong!

You'll probably have to start a new campaign for the effects to take change.

Thanks so much PerXX fixed it and didn't have to start a new campaign.

    Cheers
