Hey guys,
I was thinking on this game, is it worth buying?
Can you guys say some pros and cons? I'd appreciate that.

If I had more time I would write an essay on this.
If you like Michael Bay films -> buy it.
Otherwise wait , see some actual gameplay and wait for steam sales.

There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so. - W. ShakespeareWe (...) have converted the miracles of science into a chamber of horrors -R. Hull

You will be ruled by either a crown, a clown, or a crook, and democracy assures that you won't get the first one.
Thing is - Michael Bay used to make good films (The Rock, Armageddon, Bad Boys). Just like CA used to make good games. Its impossible to forget all about their past though. Looking at the propaganda for the new game - yes it looks worth it, like what Rome 2 should have been. But then again, we've been stung before haven't we. Don't trust what happened in the past to be a good indicator of future performance? I wont go see any more Michael Bay films (after the Pearl Harbour fiasco) just as I wont pre-order any Total War games after the Rome 2 farce.
Nobody can know for sure right now. The most sensible thing to do would be to wait for release and read the reviews and player reactions. Then decide.

Well I look at it like this. Did you play Rome 2? Did you enjoy it? If so then you'll probably like Attila, if not why?
Because of the campaign? Well most of the changes in Attila are focused adding more depth to the campaign, bringing back family trees, fixing politics, and adding other new mechanics like hordes, army integrity, and siege escalation. So there is good chance you may like it if you disliked Rome 2 because of the campaign.
Did you Dislike Rome 2's battles? Attila doesn't really change combat a lot other then some trying to make stamina more important. Other then that the engine is exactly the same as Rome 2's so you probably won't like it.
If your on the fence you should just wait until release and judge for yourself. There is also a lot of game-play in the streams CA has put out here http://www.twitch.tv/totalwarofficia...ast_broadcasts if you're having trouble deciding.

AUTHOR OF TROY OF THE WESTERN SEA: LOVE AND CARNAGE UNDER THE RULE OF THE VANDAL KING, GENSERIC
THE BLACK-HEARTED LORDS OF THRACE: ODRYSIAN KINGDOM AAR
VANDALARIUS: A DARK AGES GOTHIC EMPIRE ATTILA AAR
For me, yes.
=D
PROS
I have every totalwar game so far, so why stop now?
I have also enjoyed every total war and still do.
I like the ERA as i did with Rome 2.
Ton of new things to try out such as migration, family tree and setting fire to things, so the campaign turns will be much more involved.
I have the money to buy...so why not..
CONS
Not really any cons for me, torches and that are okay for me (i see why they are there, could be improved on but hey what theres room for improvment in everything)
Not sure about units breaking and coming back so often, but it can add a more strategic element.

If you thought Rome II was okay but it. If not wait until theres some awesome mods out there then buy it.
It appears more impressive than Rome II. But we all know this is what Rome II should of been.
You can transform all europe in an post nuclear warzone, like happened. Also there is travel time with people clothed like romans ucrony, or XVII dignitaries.
Must buy it.
Wait for reviews. Then still don't buy it.
I pre-ordered Rome 2 knowing perfectly that it would have many bugs and issues because of its potential. In one year, CA's patches and modders (thank DeI team) turn it into an thoroughly enjoyable game. With the very same argument I pre-ordered Attila
