Look for descr_skeleton.txt in the animations folder of SS 6.4, then find (Ctrl+F) in it for "northern_captain_early_flag". It will give you all the animations that you need to copy over to M2TW/Kingdoms. Copy the folder and/or the .cas files into the M2TW/Kingdoms animations folder.

I am assuming you already changed the animations for the unit in the battle_models file before, so you don't need to bother with that.

Hehe, I didn't know northern_captain_early_flag was a model, not an animation type.

All you need to do then is to copy the MTW2_Spear_new entry from SS6.4's descr_skeleton and place it in your own descr_skeleton (preferably in the very bottom for easier finding). After that, if you have SS6.4's animations all unpacked, then look for the MTW2_Spear_new folder and copy-paste it into your mod's animation folder.

Delete the .idx files and test. Many people forget this step.

You don't need to replace the WHOLE animations folder! You just need to do the following steps to move an animation type to another:

    1. Open battle_models and look for the name of the animation of a unit that you want to move.
    2. Open the home mod's descr_skeleton and Find (Ctrl+F) the name of the animation.
    3. Copy the entire animation entry, and paste it in the target mod's descr_skeleton
    4. In the home mod's animation folder, look for the folder with the same name (like: MTW2_Spear_new).
    5. Copy the folder, and paste it in the target mod's animation folder.
    6. Delete the .idx files.
    7. Done.

    (8. If you want other units to use the same animation type, then change the animation for the desired unit in battle_models to the type you want).

You don't need to change the "_Primary" line. I still haven't figured out what it does, but changing it or leaving it doesn't seem to make any difference.
