    Default Praeventores and Gothic Falxmen

I can confirm both are in game. I am sure people remember the praeventores from BI?

Oh gosh.... roman ninjas And goths with Falxes? Thats not good... the goths not only have reskined macedonian pikemen.. they have Falxes now.... is the excuse that they lived in dacia for a time... is why We (ca) gave em falxes.

im still gonna buy the game to try it out But ... there is issues i can barley take with what we know so far... (Franks in friesians location, Viking esque units, and other things)

I actually like it for sake of variety. Especially looking forward to Gothic falxmen. Anyway easy to mod out if you don't like them and there are so many units in each faction now that I doubt you would miss them.

I'm sorry if this doesn't add to the conversation but..! This just furthers my Goths = Daco-Thracian Confederation taking over the Roman Empire theory. In fairness, the history channel kind of perpetuated this by having Alaric's Goths in the Fall of the Roman Empire series dress like Dacians. For those not familiar with this fringe theory, it became pretty self-evident when they announced that the Ostrogoths would be the inheritors of Rome and their units, which is a great concept if not historically cohesive to the actual migration of the Goths. I couldn't be happier tbh. It gives them character.

    1. Falxes were in use in this time period. By the Roman navy.

    2. Praeventores and Superventores also did exist, they were Auxilia Palatina units. (I don't know what their role was offhand, but it was probably something like skirmishing or rapid interception)
