    Default Roman Reforms.

I maybe doing something wrong here, so asking for help.

I have altered my Roman reforms to activate earlier through the PFM system (seems to be fine).

The reforms activate as they should (in line with my new settings).

I let all 3 roman reforms occur in the normal sequence, finally I research the Reforms Tech (last after all the reforms are complete, poly through to Imp) everything works exactly correct, the old units disappear from recruitment, the existing old units can upgrade correctly to their new counterparts.

    I save the game.

    I load the saved game.

I can no longer recruit normal legionaries, I can recruit older Princeps etc... its all gone fubar, by simply saving the game & reloading the saved game.

Bump, since no replies - seems more relevant now.

I have tried every combination of learn the tech before or after reforms, but somthing is up, when the game is saved & reloaded.

Yep, every time I come back to a reloaded save game I can upgrade my units (Greek Choppers) to the next reform but unless I do this each turn I can't.
Shogun 2, no thanks I will stick with Kingdoms SS.

It may be that steam has overriden old pack files, check with pack manager again and see if your changes are there.

Nar the mechanic is bust, see Dresdens thread..

Just posting this, as it seems linked with the saving of the game & reloading, as without doing that the reforms work perfectly (though clearly at some point everyone will need to save & log off - therefore its critical)

I recommend you download the standalone and redo your changes.

P.S. For the standalone unaltered, they are currently working on a solution to get the reforms scripts not acting up again. The script is syntactically right and has no "bugs" in it afaik, but sometimes after a while in lategame it acts up for a few people (me included), that's why it seems to be so hard to find out what is wrong. As I said, they're currently looking to how to avoid this issue.
