Default Return of the family tree : has it evolved, any ideas ?

I was wondering if the family tree system has been improved. I always thought it would be nice if the family tree could also include the agents. You would decide what function the family member would have when he/she arrives at his majority : general, governor or agent (spy, champion or dignitary).

One of the advantage is that in case of a civil war, the characters to defect would not be limited to generals but agents would also embrace the revolt (in the case the civil war system would include more than one character but it seems not to be the case). Another is that it gives more place to women.

Anyone else was expecting some improvements to the family tree system that would be simple and in the same time bring more flesh to the faction's internal life ?

It's interactive like in Shogun 2, meaning you can set faction heir among other things. There are more political intrigue actions in Attila though, so basically there is where the big improvements are at. It does look very promising and honestly it doesn't seem like there's a whole lot of other things to do with a family tree, but you never know I guess.

It has clearly evolved very substantially, watch Sun Jetzu's top 5 Attila features video for more detail from someone who's played it, he put it as his #1 Attila feature (watch from 09:51):

The ability to raze an entire region with just one click is a good feature? No more comments.

I was more thinking about the family tree. This vid made me want to watch the announcement vids but <I'm not sure about the rcomments like "the new ability to raze is great cause it looks so cool''. But, well, I guess we all have different reasons to like CA"s games.

Frankly I wanted this thread to be more about the direction this FT feature takes and how it could be improved. But maybe the OP is not clear.

I saw a video where when you marry a daughter to another faction you see her and her new immediate family on your family (husband, parents in law in this video) tree. Their portraits are greyed out and have the factions emblem over them so its clear they are not your family. I thought this was a nice touch

Why do the barb factions still have their helmets on in the family tree window? We get it, they're barbarians.
