I've always liked Spain as a faction. Conquer the peninsula and guard the Pyrenees and Granada and the Iberian peninsula is one hell of a stronghold.... one problem tho, why don't they have Lancers anymore and why were they given to the French? curious...

The Spaniard roster is good, since M2TW was announced I've wanted to play with them, they are going to be my first faction for the Campaign and I pretend to destroy Moors and Portugal -->(with Papal permission)

The Spanish have basically identical unit rosters as the French so I am kind of disappointed.

The spanish look ok. Only like 2 or 3 unique units but eh, not bad. I am actually pleased to see the Knights of Santiago. I actually made a flaming tirade of a post earlier about CA not putting anything unique or new into the unit rosters. I would like to paritially rescind that statement, there are some unique units for everyone. This makes me glad. Also, is there a complete unit roster for every faction out there somewhere?

is it me, or do the spanish not really have any decent crossbow/archer units... after peasants and militia units all they have are gun powder... this is going to make things really difficult in my opinion, that can turn into a good or bad thing... im not sure yet

Well, every faction has to have its strengths and weaknesses to counter the other factions, otherwise the game will be imbalanced.

Does it mean, that after Tercio Pikemen, Sword and Buckler, Musketeers, Gendarms and Conquistadores, Spain is unstopable?
Their lack of archers could hurt them in the beginning, though.
