yeah thats nice. I like the the cresent moon. Interesting they put that there must be a standard night sky for isalmic/ Eastern battlemaps.

BTW, the details on the unit is an extreme improvement from RTW.

lol I saw a picture of an old chinese statuette of a war elephant with 2 culverins on its back. It had no riders though. Maybe the real guys just lit a long fuse and sent the elephants charging in blazing gunfire. (just speculation)

Scratch that it was a chess peice and it does appear to have riders but the guns are on both sides of the elephant like saddlebags .LINK

They’d go deaf… mainly the elephant, must take a LOT of training to get them to not freak out once it fires.

Are the armenian mercenary cavalry and archers available for training in the custom battles? I've only seen images of the foot troops, and they kinda disappointed me (rather generic).

The elephants looks great, I'd be scared if I fight vs the cannon-elephants, Turkish horsemen and infantry looks nice, as well as Timurid horsemen (they look like the turkish indeed)

Agreed. You could easily mistaken them for photoshopped Screenshots of the Week.

I've seen lots of M2TW screenshots and I never realised the improved, well-done skies

hey you played the demo? it looks great at parvia its so dark and theres storm clouds and a blood red sunset. SOOOOOOOOOO much better! Little things like this really ad to the feel and atmosphere of a game.
