    Default Tech tree bonuses stack? Also question about public order late game

    I was taking a look at all of the tier 3 and 4 versions of each building tree, and I noticed that having a dedicated farm province comes with some huge public order penalties due to squalor. This made me wonder, how could you possibly counter all of these hits to public order late game, when you have 2-3 or more buildings with -10 public order due to squalor. I feel like even with multiple max public order temples and a Dignitary in the province you'd still be negative.

    This had me searching the tech tree for the skills that give bonuses to public order, and I saw how through one side of the tree it gave a +2, then a +3, and so on. I was confused as to whether or not these bonuses are adding on to each other, or simply upgrading to the higher version. For example, when having the +2 and +3 techs researched, does it give a +5, or does it only give a +3? This had me wondering about all of the other trees as well.

    Another quick question. Which effects from buildings stack throughout your province? If I had a temple that gives +20% bonus to agriculture wealth, and then I built another of the same temple, would I get +40% bonus?

    Normally yes the bonuses add up.
    Same goes for generals, dignitaries,etc.

    The level IV entertainment building has a huge public order bonus compared to it's food cost, and get even more public order with the Bread and Games edict. Fishing ports give extra food under a Bread and Games edict, so combine these buildings and this edict for maximum effectiveness.

    Also, Dignitaries can help a lot. They can have both flat PO bonuses and culture increase bonuses, which indirectly also helps with public order.

    Anyway, public order balancing with high tier buildings is usually the reason why I also don't take slaves in the later game, nor build the slave buildings. Yes, they're profitable, but you can also make a lot of money with commerce and industry approaches. Those are more a lot more stable.

    counter with -food +PO buildings, you'll end up evening out the PO/food but get more income overall with higher lvls of both. alternatively just don't upgrade them that early. u get lots of PO bonus from researchs

    I don't mean to revive this thread when already given sufficient answers, but I'd like confirmation on the tech tree bonuses stacking. I have no way of knowing until many turns later through research, and even then it would still be hard to confirm. It's something I really need to know as it's affecting my province setups. I'm having a few that have public order problems (mostly industrial provinces) that would more than likely be fixed if the tech bonuses were combined to give me the extra public order. Does anyone know for sure?

    Yeah I just needed some confirmation. Wanted to be 100% sure that I'm going to be getting +9 public order as opposed to just +4.
