Sorry GED but can I ask who? (With the exception of Celoxia) Or is this a rumour you've heard, you can go check the Moderation forums if you want, its all there.

We only let back people who were swearing, being explicit etc. as that is a minor incident and not something like they were hacking and disrupting people's fun? I also recall MCC granting amnesty to the same group of players on the last map. However we stuck to the TWC member conduct and rules for the forums, and carried out moderation to these rules. If you seriously had a problem with some players that are playing now, why did you ban them at MCC and not ban them from TWC as well? I get the feeling you don't like the Minecraft community at all, hence why you casted us apart from TWC in the first place. I mean all of your staff jumped ship when that happened, and then continued to jump ship at MCC.

At the end of the day, this is a game. People just want to have fun, and you're defeating everything Total War Center stands for by making all of us now feel unwelcome. This is a great site with great staff and great content, so why do you not want a great server too?

I cannot speak for the people who were involved in the decision making, but this was definitely not done out of spite. This group of players, however much I may despise some of them in war, is genuinely nice and homely. I think we just wanted to survive as a group, to continue playing together, and that was just not possible anymore on MCC.

All that happened was Ditro created a server since MCC wasn't functioning. He created a system for improving the server that I think will allow the server to develop into a much better place in the long run, something that was never done on MCC. We all begged from factions to be returned once we saw the complete mess that Towny was. MCC staff ignored and Ditro delivered. Maybe it's better we move from MCC and TWC if this is how a completely selfless act by ditro is being treated. All that this act is doing is alienating you from the playerbase, but as people have pointed out, maybe that's what you want and I'm very saddened if that is the case.

I thank you alot for creating a server that was without a doubt the most fun I've ever had in gaming. It's been a great two years that I've experienced on MCC, but if we want our fun to continue I guess it's time to move on. Thanks again.

It borders on impossibility for you not to be contacted or notified of the problems facing MCC over the past few months, as I'm sure Hawk and others in the MCC administration attempted to do something in that time. However, at the end of the day, we didn't have a stable hub for our Minecraft community as MCC was either too buggy server-wise or was simply inaccessible as can be seen with forum access. Ergo, with your absence at the time and our inability to have any useful access to the server and its settings, it wouldn't take a genius to see that the logical step in preserving our community was to move back here, to where it all started all those years ago. We did what we did to have MCC survive, and your punishment of this occurrence is, quite frankly, baffling.

Kind of agreed. The community servers were not owned by GED in the first place, and they were perfectly allowed here, as long as you kept yourself to the TOS. Seeing GED now ban everything that has to do with Minecraft just because ''if I can't have it, you can't have it too'', is indeed quite odd.

Although MCC was theoretically a good idea, it never reached the intended levels of traffic it was supposed to, entire sections of the forum remained unused, and the community effectively isolated itself from like-minded individuals, such as the ones found here on twc that would be interested in playing a minecraft server that involved kingdoms, its own history, and complex politics between the players.

What you have done is not only betray the trust of an entire community, but have put to shame various other people that at one time or another hosted a minecraft server for the benefit of the community and not some God complex they have.

You have thrown a temper tantrum when we didn't leave you, you left us, and we did what we could to keep the community alive.

You have murdered the good spirit of this community, and you have broken "The Golden Rule" (remember that?) of which we based our entire experience on from the beginning: Fun, good nature, and good will towards players to have an ultimately enjoyable experience.

You have not only forced an exodus of players from TWC now, but you have overstepped your rights in every way.

I can only agree completely with this. TWC just came with multiple gaming forums; also with TWC clans, to move away from the TW-area Minecraft was one of these. Then you decided to move. Only you did, GED. When the MCC forums were down Ditronian and a few others like Poach, were there when you couldn't be there. I don't blame you for having other stuff to do, we all have. But when you come back and suddenly start blaming them for saving what was left of the community after the complete MCC debacle, and even start to ''punish'' people with removing them from staff, that's just a disgrace to the complete of TWC. To all the hard working admins who try to do best, not for your personal ego, but for TWC. For the community. Ditronian and Poach, and Mangerman and Dewy, and all those others who spend time in putting something together that actually works, did something which you refused to do, something that's the best for the community overall.

You can complain that the ToS was broken, and yes, it was sometimes. But I would like to see the facts. Was the ToS in the Minecraft subforums actually broken more often then in for example the Colosseum or the thema devia, or wait... The Rome 2 forums? I very much doubt so. There is NO argument to close the forums apart from then your own ego, the ego I always thought you didn't had. I honestly thought, and still hope, that you were just doing what was best for the community. Even if that might be something you personally don't like or personally didn't expected. But maybe I and a lot of others, turned out to be wrong.

This is the most petty behavior I've ever seen in my life. This is a good way to lose the respect of an entire community, you have for certain lost mine. You're murdering this community because we didn't want to continue playing on a site that was dead and a server that was broken and un-fun. MCC was a failure. The last map was a complete and colossal failure. Accept it.

I wouldn't be surprised if I got banned for this, but seeing as the forum probably won't be re-opened anyway I don't particularly care.

MCC was broken before the site went down. The new map that was released with a custom plugin by the staff at the time was buggy and extremely laggy making play unbearable. Not only that, but many of our admin and plugin staff simply lost interest in continuing work on the plugin so it was never, ever, going to be working. Its not the hardware that failed MCC first, it was the plugin and admins. I'm not blaming them. To work on something for so long is a accomplishment we all acknowledge. But it ultimately failed and with it they simply lost heart/desire to work/play Minecraft.

The forums stagnated after that with the community, rightfully, having pretty much no hope. By the time you disappeared GED, no one I know knew how to contact you. Then minecraftcenter crashed. Once the entire website was completely unusable we migrated back to TWC. This was our original home and logical place of refuge. We can here not out of spite, but because this is where we belong.

MCC was broken and ultimately a failed idea. It was supposed to be the TWC of Minecraft, a mod hub. That never happened and was never going to. In the end it ended up isolating us on a foreign website and we lost members. I get that you spent money and tried to build it up. And because of that you can be rightfully angry when you return and find us having abandoned it, but we really did stick with it until it could no longer support us.

As soon as we moved back to TWC we saw community interest and population that I haven't seen in over a year. We've had more new people in the recent month than I have seen in a very long time. And all our old TWC members returned as well.

The fact that you see this as a personal insult and getting angry over this is frankly misplaced. We came here because it was the only community we knew after MCC crashed and ultimately its for the better as we have grown more than we have for years. I do hope you reopen the forums and don't let other people's anger, which is understandable, from this thread dissuade you from doing so.

For now everyone we're temporarily migrating to here while we figure this out.

So let me get this straight... You disappear for about a month, to the point where your trusted admin team has no idea what happened, and they seem to have no way of contacting you. Then the website and server goes down at random intervals, so we have no stable minecraft server to log into.

Then you come back and get mad at us for wanting to play minecraft?

I'm sorry am I missing something here? I see NO logical reason why someone in this position would be angry, other than the loss of any profit gained from the MCC website and/or server.

The community has been strengthened by this server, and seems a lot livelier than it was than ANY time that I had seen it on MCC. To me, closing these forums seems like someone throwing a temper tantrum because things didn't go their way.

A bit more than a leak when the site owner shuts down an entire subforum, but save for that I agree and hope this place gets reopened.
