SLI and 7950gx2 issues
System Specs: Intel e6700, 7950gx2, 2 gigs of GSkill, 320 gig HD, Asus p5n32 SLI SE Deluxe Mobo
First off, Incredible game. I am using FRAPS to test my fps and I am getting AWFUL performance. Regardless of settings - Ive tried as many combos as you can come up with - everything hi, everything low - mixture of shadows, AA, AF etc, etc. My framerate hovers around 11-20 on all scenarios provided with demo. It doesnt matter if I have the camera focused on one group or zoomed out with everything in view. I have to think that this game isnt optimized for SLI configs or maybe the 7950gx2.
Company of Heroes another rig hog, upon release ran like @#%$ (10-20fps), when they addressed sli issues (1.2 patch) my performance increased to the 25-100fps range, depending on camera pan.
Has anyone addressed this issue or acknowledged that there is one? Is this standard performance for my system? I hope not. I am getting really peeved with people posting that they have excellent performance on lower end systems and they fail to tell you what FPS they were getting...
Testing again last nite, I wondered if maybe FRAPS is giving me inaccuarte readouts - FRAPS doesnt work with some games...Another reason I think this maybe is becasue despite low fps reading - my mouse doesnt lag, the game doesnt seem choppy - things seem to run and look OK. But hearing people say there getting 30-60 fps and I cant even get mine above 20FPS on the lowest settings is disturbing.
Can anyone shed lighton this? please?
