    Icon4 Bug: Wrong Resource Name

    OS: Win7
    Kingdoms 1.5
    Stainless Steel 6.4
Submod: RR, BG4E, Permanent Watch Tower

    Problem:

With the following submods enabled, some resources, mostly amber, don't match with what the what the game recognized.
i.e. A amber resource in Scandinavia would be recognize as "Camel"

This was tested on Denmark, England, Seljuk. Early Campaign.

This problem only occurs if the Permanent Watch Tower submod is enabled.

    Update:

Further testing show that it's not based on the watchtower mod. The map naturally shows one resource honey as camel by Lund and a nearby resource node by Hamburg as Tabacco.

    Is anyone else getting this?

It's funny how Denmark have a source of camels but no where in the near east or Africa does it have it as well.

Found a fix, the launcher doesn't work with 6.4 but you can still use these bin files.
P.S. This should be my last chain post, I apologize, I don't have permission to edit my posts.

And do the following every time after you use the SS_setup.exe:

    - Launch Stainless Steel with v1c7r1x's launcher once, so it can recreate the missing strings.bin
    - Exit the game.
    - Launch Stainless Steel from it's own launcher (SS_launcher.exe) and play.

Remember that everytime you activate/deactivate submods, change campaign era, etc using the SS_setup.exe
you'll have to repeat the process above.
Thanks to capablecenturion for finding this out.

Alternatively you can extract these Attachment 313230 to the "...\SS6.3\data\text" folder after each time you use the SS_setup.exe

It's a Steam related bug. In the main SS forum there is a stickied thread about "New Steam Update". It includes Melooo182's post you linked to; there you'll find additional information about such issues.
