    Icon4 Request: Help Testing Script Changes (Roman Campaigns w/ Marian Reforms)

    I am looking for anyone who has a Roman campaign at the Marian reforms. Are they working properly? If they are, please try this pack: http://www.mediafire.com/download/dt...formstest.pack

    Load it before the main pack and let me know if the reform units are still properly unlocked/upgradeable etc using that pack. Remember, if something goes wrong then don't save your game

    Also, if you have a Roman Marian campaign and the reforms are not working properly (pre-reform units are still recruitable), then feel free to try the pack for a fix.

    Edit: If you have an Imperial save that would be great also to test

    No one has a working Marian Roman save? Or Imperial? Hm..maybe this fix is a necessity then lol

    Edit: Well, after my own tests it seems this fix pack breaks working Marian reforms. At least for me..but it does fix Marian reforms for people that have all units recruitable. I can't really explain it, I guess I will just put it in the bug thread for those who get this strange upgrade-break bug.

    Haha - I found yesterday, (after Marian reforms happened) I loaded a campaign save and the fix seemed to work correctly, except early equites remained, and the units were no longer upgradable. (also I made sure I only had DEI and capatible DEI submods running. )

    I am going to run through a quick new campaign to see if for some reason I get a different outcome.

    Yeah, apparently this pack actually breaks reforms for me (no units recruitable in Marian) but my reforms were working properly. I will put this in the bug thread for those who get this random bug.

    I tried it on my broken reform campaign and it fixed it!

    Yeah, it seems to fix campaigns that have a broken upgrade mechanic, no clue why really

    But it breaks working campaigns

    I will soon be on marian reforms, just need to raise my Imperium, I will return when I have tested the pack...

    I just hit reforms this morning. Upgrades were OK but I can still recruit Polybian units. I'll try the fix when my net comes back up.

    Hi Dresden, my boy and I are playing a head to head game, we are on about turn 160, he just hit the marian reforms last session we played and he is unable to upgrade his units, so he is having to create fresh armies while still marching around with his Polybian units, we will give it a go and get back to you shortly.

    I have a roman campaign. The reforms worked fine before the fix, though.

    I can confirm with that reformstest.pack that the units are upgrading with no issues, prior to this we would experience a desync the following turn after upgrading.

    i have a marian campaign that had the recruitable early units bug.
    just tested this pack and it did fix the problem.

    Game in 1.02 I was able to upgrade to Marian units, but also had the bug that allowed recruiting of Polybian units.

    In a bew 1.03 game started today with the reformstest.pack from the beginning, I hit Marian reforms and cannot upgrade old units to Marian, but I also do not have the bug allowing recruitment of old units.

    Steam version.

    hmhm never encountered problem with reforms...
    they work as they should here - meaning: "hacked reforms"

    I should have one at the end of the day. I will report back then.


    However my Polybian reforms triggered at turn 48 or so, not 50.

    If you guys have reforms that work, let me know if the fix pack breaks them. In my tests the fix pack made it so that Marian units couldn't be recruited at all. I am not sure why it would do that. But it does fix the reforms that get broken.

    My report.
    1. Achieved marian reforms. I was able to retrain all units, except naval triarii.
    2. Polybian units available to recruit. From legion section and auxilia both.
    3. Also i can recruit naval triarii inside the ship.
    4. When general or admiral dies, game offers me polybian and marian general/admiral units both.
    5. I have not used pack. Noob's question - in wich folder i should copy it?

    You put the pack in your data folder and then activated it in mod manager. You will have to click "enable out of date mods"
