Default Attila preview posted today on Gamespot

    This is from the review:

The preview version of TW: Attila features many of the same AI troubles that previous games held. In this case, enemy troops were more than willing to stand in place while arrows rained on them from my archers and defensive towers. It was nice to win, but it didn't feel like a fair fight. Another recurrent problem in Total War games is the array of performance problems and bugs that usually emerge. A preview build may not represent the final experience, but playing Total War: Attila was a sluggish affair, both on the strategic map and within battlegrounds.

Without mercy. Without compassion. Without remorse.
    All war depends upon it.

    What did you expect?

Shocking. New features added to the campaign that the AI will probably have extreme difficulty in handling all the while the AI units still won't react when getting showered by arrows. One step forward, four steps back.

Misleading title. It's a preview not a review. Where do they come up with stupid names like "The Tree Breakers"?

(Instead of upgrading the village into a town, I had built stables, which have a detrimental effect on happiness levels.)
That sounds like the same annoying system from Rome 2. Did you guys know horses make people so unhappy that they rebel? CA really needs to abandon these nonsensical systems they have come up with.

My bad. I was trying to say it was a review of a pre-release version but worded it wrong.

It would be far smarter of all of you to *become* those paid reviewers and thus gain happiness, or at least some reward... rather than remaining the poor unwashed masses of CA "fans" who know oh so well what a ransack must feel like.

Edit: ok, I've read it now. Disappointed. And now I have to buy Shogun 2... so much praise for it on the comments.

DEI is already better than this, and it will take modders at least a year's time to reduce the shallow arcade veneer from Attila. Get this Rome 2 reskin when it's 70% off on steam. Don't support this company with pre orders, they don't deserve it. Yes they like to make money like any company, it's capitalism. But this stuff is just mediocre. Use an A-bomb to level settlement LOL!

I don't know what confuse me the most, that people find anything strange or out of ordinary with this review or that you all bought into the Total war hype yet again.

Total war is only total war.
