    Icon1 De Bello Judaico - new fraction and units? Proposal

    Hello again! I Have an idea to create new faction Rebels of Judea and I suggest to set Jerusalem as very strong fortified city. Some new units would be nice - light infantry with extremely high morale, and heavy infantry with trophy roman equipment (after Beth-Horon Jews got some roman armors and weapons). Siege of Jerusalem was on of the greatest sieges in antic world, and in Rome II and even in DeI it's impossible to play this battle. Hope, you like my idea. Cya

    We are looking at adding walls to some cities, like Syracuse and Jerusalem. It is a complicated process, though.

    We also tried to setup a Judaic rebel faction but ran into some technical issues so it didn't make it into 1.0. They do have a historical cultural bonus there and (in the next update) it will cause quite a bit of public order problems for whomever owns it.

    Would you be able to liberate them if this were put in place? Also, if so, could some other factions e.g. the Etruscan League return in the same way?

    I think the Kingdom of Judah mod is working for both the grand and IA vanilla campaigns now. I wonder if some of that could be adapted? The guy working on it isn't the creator, but he does a good job and is cool as .

    Judaea's location has the potential of an interesting and challenging campaign, so I'm looking forward to it. If there is going to be a Judaic rebel faction, it could be named: The People's Front of Judaea. Monty Python fans will get it.

    It is possible. After the daughters of Mars DLC, I wouldn't be surprised even if the JPF's suicide squad would be released as a DLC.

    if not, we could mod it, right after Asterix and Obelix and a nude patch for chariots... (damn, more ideas for DLC's....)

    Serious, if i remember right, we still have one or two judaic units ingame. We can do some more, combined with scriptet revolts....

    We have tried scripting uprisings but it has to be for an alive faction. Its a mechanic we are working on but it has some issues.

    There's AOR, mercenaries I think, and a Roman auxiliary unit.
