Im just wondering how moddable these are?
Is it possible to create more of them and spread them out more throughout the game so they don't all happen within the 1st 100 turns?

There are two ways I believe, first you must understand why they happen the first 100 turns; some culture techs reduce the probibility of political events, as ssom as these techs are researched the probibility is lowered...
Now you can either mod overall probibility, so that without the techs events happen very frequently. After the techs are researched the chance will be lowered with the same amount as before, but due to the hightened overall chance they will still happen. The side effect will be that without the techs the events will be very frequent.
Or you can mod the effect of the techs question, reduce the amount the techs reduce the overall chance, thus making the chance bigger for events to happen compared to vanilla...
He brings up a good point though. I always end up getting the same events twice during my campaigns, which feels kind of lackluster.
I am not sure - just won my parthian campaign and there was not a single event? What about you guys?

There is always a solution!
Ive restarted about my rome campaign about 4 times now and the events get really repetitive to the point where ive almost got the best responses memorized.
The only ones I think that affect the game in a meaningful way are the slave event and the one where you get new characters. Would be real nice if some events affected other characters or factions to add more depth. Ive no idea how doable that is though.
Fingers crossed more can be done with the event system.
Oh there is definitely always a solution. It's just that there will, and should, be times where it's not an ideal solution. You're forced to choose to kill either 10 people or 100 people. Stuff like that.
It sounds like Dresden and the team have some ideas on that, it will be nice to see the events spruced up, maybe some added and switched around to make things more interesting on repeated playthroughs.
I agree. Some more events that have varying levels of negative effects, and you try to choose the least of the bad possibilities would be welcome to having almost always a perfect solution that nets you positive gains.
In my current Lusitani campaign I got similar events turn after turn. I ended up choosing "Let Him Trade" to the events at least 8 times.
I would like to just disable these events. They are annoying and just disrupt gameplay to me.
Can someone make a submod to abolish these silly events where one is faced with a choice action?
I don't mind the historical events, I actually enjoy them. They give historical context to important surrounding events. But the events that force silly choices on the player are just annoying.
I think adding custom events or even historical ones would contribute to giving each campaign a distinct feel. Instead of trivial stuff, like a roman senator wanting to sail down the sewer on a raft (wtf?) you could make real intrigue and political manuevering through events.

I was wondering if it was possible to change the outcome of your choices each time a Politcal event happens instead of the same old outcome each time they happen. Basically if your like me after spending so much time playing Rome 2 U know the outcome of the different options when it comes to the events that pop up since each time the event pops up the out come of each choice is always the same. Would it possible to randomize what effect each choice had or to add a larger variety of them or something to make it more interesting and different each time the same old event pops up.

As Dresden said, we are working on it. And I am the poor fellow chosen to slog away writing these, while the other guys stand there with a whip in hand, and munching doughnuts.
Nah, I am only joking, Dresden and others are really cool chaps. And man, there are many things that we are working on, and which I believe would be really fun if it came as a surprise for you all. I would only suggest to allow us to surprise you all in future updates.![]()
Sorry to dredge up this thread but was any work ever done on this? Ive not played Rome 2 in a while and am having a look at various mods hoping to see if there was ever any work done on making more events/dilemma or making improvements on the political side of the game.
