    Hey Guys!


    Total War: ATTILA will soon be upon us, so we’ve made a new Let’s Play video where Simon and I talk about Hordes, Migration and a few things you’ll probably want to know before starting up as one of the migratory factions.





    Take a closer look at the Ostrogoths and some new mechanics that even a seasoned Total War veteran will need to take into consideration when playing.

    More news and videos are always welcome

    I really really am in love with the leader models in the faction selection screen, please don't remove them from the end product as you did with Rome II

    Also could you give us some information about forts, will they be the same as Rome II

    Or will you improve them and make them bigger and more epic !

    Yes i also like to know if forts/encampments are reworked, And what would be totally awesome if they made a same mechanic like the new horde feature.

    So you are able to upgrade different parts of your fort/encampments and maybe different generals have different upgrade styles. But thats properly not the case because if they changed it they would have showed it already just like this new feature.

    hey guys, lets learn about the all new Horde mechanic thats never before appeared in a total war game....LOL

    sarcasm aside, the way they handle the new version of the horde mechanic is pretty cool.

    so Joey, at 10:00ish Simon talks about population. Is population once again a key factor in Total war: Attila? Or is he just talking about the army?

    That was pretty fantastic. A lot more fleshed out than BI's, which was already pretty fun.


    I was going to play the Sassanids first, but I might have to dive into a Horde faction first. The Ostrogoths' faction trait is interesting.

    My only two questions:

    1)will you (CA) lock the moddability of the campaign map again to sell mini-campaign DLCs?

    and

    2)will you (CA) lock the moddability of many factions again to re-sell them as DLCs?

    I hope the great migrators aren't hamstringed in any way when they eventually do settle down. It's looks like the Ostrogoths won't be, due to their faction trait, which is really nice. Side note: Why is the Vandal faction leader model not wearing a shirt? Ah, nvm I see now. It looks good. Anyhow they're great mechanics and the Ostrogoths in particular remind me of what I did with one of Sebidee's unit packs, for army reform. Keep up the good work!

    Hats off to Simon. He's clearly well on top of his material and that shows in what appear to be some really well thought out features. Think I may start out as a great migrator as well having see that!

    These are great features, and like Tiberius, I'll start maybe with a migrator faction. Or leave the continent with Saxon/Gete/Dane/Jute and conquer England

    Attila is on the path to be what R2TW should have been.

    Damn looking at this just makes rome 2 look more like a failure. I like rome 2 time period much more than this hopefully moders can make the rome 3 mod. The horde features look excellent gonna play as the huns first then mayble WRE or as the saxons.

    This sort of looks like what I had hoped Rome 2 would be like. Semi-New features, visual representation in the UI and immersive feedback for your actions. Not shallow, bland and generic with a complete lack of meaning as was the case in vanilla Rome 2.

    Yeah that was a poor choice of words.

    It's really starting to look impressive, this horde mode was the sort of thing I was hoping for in Pirates and Raiders DLC although I imagine it would have to have been coded from the start. It really looks like this game is being tailored to what fans asked for and the winter mechanic plus arrival of the Huns reminds me of feverishly spying out Anatolia/Caucasus for the inevitable Mongol Invasion in MED 2. I think I'd need a new PC since the fires might become 4D when the thing uses my graphics card

    yeah i fear also, to high processor demand for many fire and smoke during battles this features not necessary i think.

    during the whole video seeing the family tree was the biggest relief. Now only if they would bring back those statistical graphs!!

    Also the agent videos...
    The family Tree, Stats, Agents and the Senate/pope was why i played old TW games.. Battles and conquest get boring after a while in every campaign, also the "invasions" never really worked well, those hordes would run around the map aimlessly til they ran out of armies and died out.

    also I've never been a fan of these army "Stances" they are just an annoying immersion killers imho.
