To What Levels Of Overclocking Do You Reccomend Here?
Im using a Geforce 6800XT, so far I have unlocked 4 pipelines and 2 vertex units (total 12pp, 6vp) which is higher than a vanilla 6800 (12pp, 5vp). I attempted to have all 16 pixel pipes open but it caused distortion in games. I would like to push the frequencys to vanilla 6800 levels or higher if possible. So far with the pipelines unlocked I have noticed a significant increase in game performance. Hitman Blood Money went from 17FPS (highest settings/resolution, shadows off) to 27FPS (same settings).
The default core frequency is 325Mhz. The slider on RivaTuner will go to a max of 490Mhz. The default memory frequency is 700Mhz, the slider will go to a max of 1050Mhz.
One issue. The Nvidia drivers in the 8x.xx series will not allow the overclock to happen, it gives me a warning message however the 9x.xx will.
I planned to take the core to 350Mhz (if its worth the difference) or 400Mhz if possible but for the memory im not so sure.
How do the core and memory frequencys differ when it comes to overclocking?
Cheers in advance.

Re: To What Levels Of Overclocking Do You Reccomend Here?
I've noticed that the memory always goes a bit more, with geForce cards. My current card sucks at overclocking, so I just use my default. Pity that you weren't able to unlock all pipes, that card is surely a good buy if it works.
Get some kind of gpu-stressing program if you already haven't got one, like 3DMark. Keep raising the clocks and as soon as you see artifacts, it's time to back up.
Some people have recommended ATiTool even for nVidia cards, but don't know much about that combination.. If it works, you can easily scan artifacts with that.
It's very hard to say how far that gpu will go, it all depends on your luck. Core should go that 25MHz quite easily.
Do you have a good cooler for that card, or does the stock keep it cool enough?
I'm no pro in this, but I've OC'd a little bit and destroyed one Gf2.
So be careful.
