Now that we have the Family tree back, it leaves the door open for us to be able to roleplay again, which was lacking in rome 2 because all the generals were cardboard cutouts and didn't have any real character. One of my favorite things to do back in the day was to have a father-son relationship akin to Phillip and Alexander. So for a while I'd have both of them in the same army, and let the son get some experience under the wing of his father.
Now what I'm not advocating back is the kill both FL and FH in the same battle and the faction gets wiped out. I think we can all agree that was unrealistic.
but it would be nice to have FMs in a single army again, and perhaps this could even keep generals from rebelling, if say there is someone watching him over his shoulder.
is it high on the list of priorities? no. but it was nice to have that option. unfortunately the ai... that seems to be the kicker when it comes to a lot of good features.
