How do I know which version of DEI do I have installed?

Dear guys,

How do I know which version of DEI do I have installed? What I know is that I am subscribed to the steam workshop mod version. I just realised that the 1.02 was released a few days ago followed by a quick release version 1.02a. I am almost sure that I don't have it because I think the mod was not updated by the game launcher.

If I do not have the 1.02 (likely 1.02) do you recommend me to install "standalone" version?

The Steam version will always be up to date of the main release. The fix thread you are referring to is a work in progress as it states in that thread. It is not part of the mod yet.

The standalone is always recommended. It's more stable and easier to know if you've got the most recent version, because it's just one file you drop into your data folder instead of 4 in the steam version.

Oh, that's interesting. I thought it were the other way round. I use a changed fixpack for my personal modding of the Steam version, how do I manage that it loads first when using the standalone?

There are two ways to do it.

1. Name your pack @__fixpack or something like that, with those characters in front, so it will be listed before the main pack.

2. Use Mitch's mod manager.

I recommend you, to get a clean start, unsubscribe from all mods you have subscribed to, everything, every tiny bit.

Then restart Steam, doubleclick on Rome 2, take a look into the mod launcher. Is it empty? If so, proceed to now verify the gamecache. Then reinstall the mod from the ground up.

That way you make sure that you're only using the latest version. GL & HF
