    Default Hype

    Hey all,

I dunno... I just feel like.. eh, "whatever MTW2"

I remember back in the day when RTW was still in the making I was like HOLY **** HOLY HOLY GOOD GOD mode all day, checking every website and whatnot for the smallest of updates on the game.

But when I heard of MTW2, at first I was like "sweet dude thats awesome" but no more than that..

What I mean to say is that does the Hype of this game is far from what we had for RTW?

    Am I the only one?

I am ridiculously hyped up. I even tried to get some time off work on the day it comes out (I failed).

I have to admit, I am another hypestricten fan. Especially this last week I literally haven't been able to play RTW cause I just can't. I know M2TW is near so I just don't think RTW is as good so I just leave it be.

Thank god for Mount&Blade to give me some sanity.

    I just want my game

During collegei skipped lunch to go reserve my copy of the game, even tried bribing the employee.

"sorry, but id loose my job" "weve got the game in the back too, ill just go stick your details on it"

Nah, haven't been too hypestricken this time. But last time we went from 2D sprites to a full-blown 3D engine, so I suppose it's understandable.

Your suffering from pre-release depression. I have it sometimes when I have waited for some game like many months. Sometimes you just grow full of it, because you know what the game is like even before you have played it. My interest in this one has lasted, thanks to all the plans I've made for my campaigns. Anyway, new games don't feel like much when you get to see them the first time, but if you're lucky, it will convince you and you can't live without it.
So don't try to be hyped, just give it a try. I'm sure it will pay off.

I'm certainly not as excited as I was...wait.

Actually I wasn't that hyped up for Rome either.

I think its just because I keep my expectations low for every single game that comes out.

I'm pretty hyped about this game. Even more than Rome. It's really sad actually. I should be more mature about it.

Exited, yes, hyped up, no. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I'm never bored, I always have something to do. Perhaps boredom and the prospect of MTWII changing that condition get's people hyped. Or perhaps I have matured a little

You hit the nail right on the head in my situation. Well that I have not alot to do, as I done it all last week, and just too much time to think and anticipate it.

Well some people do seem to be getting a tad het up about it. I'm very much looking forward to playing the game too, but if it suddenly disappears without trace, I won't die. Life will go on as normal. And there's still Rome

It's not really my time period interest. So I'm not as hyped up as a lot of other people are, but still excited.

I'm excited about it I guess, but admittedly the time frame isn't quite as interesting to me as Ancient History (well I am a Ancient History student after all ). Luckily I've got an essay in Friday, so I'll have got that out the way before the weekend, meaning plenty of playing time. And time to get peaking into the files!

Actually, pretty much the same with me. It comes with being an engineering student. Way too much work to do.

I'm so hyped that I have repeatedly been bellowing, "This is a world of darkness this... is TOTAL WAR!" all day.

I'm hoping that I receive the game tomorrow, and luckily I can leave college at 3pm then as well, so I'll have plenty of time for gaming hopefully! I can't wait. But yeah, I agree, with a high workload I have been able to take my mind off Medieval 2 relatively often... not this week though!
