Sorry for the delay on the vote threads. Personal issues are taking up a lot of my time so I will try to get the threads out tonight or tomorrow.

Please take this time to nominate any further games if you haven't already, and I will get back to this ASAP.

    Nominations are now closed.

We will discuss them in Content and then I will post the vote threads in the next couple of days.

Thank you for participating so far.

Quick question with the poll on Best Strategy game, Endless Legend seems to be in their twice so will the votes on those just be added together or will it need a new poll?

I do hope the project gets another front page area like it deserves. Thanks everyone who worked on this.

Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

Have you guys thought about for next year to have the banners depict the previous years winners rather than one of the entries this year? It would enable a nice sort of continuity and avoid the banners appearing "suggestive" towards who people should vote for.

Honestly never considered that. Jeb made the banners last year and he pretty much did the same thing. And I don't think many of the winners were featured on those banners. If it does happen this year it could be a coincidence or we blame Mhaedros

I think they should put up entirely Star Wars Battlefront 3 banners for next year. Because we all know it's going to win.

Good job to everyone who worked on this.

You are missing at least few great games from this list, most of them also indie kickstarted (or kickstarted games sequels) games:

    RPG:
    - Shadowrun Returns - Dragonfall
    - Blackguards
    - Lords of Xulima
    - Neo Scavenger
    - Legend of Grimrock 2

This was a really good year for RPG. Of course that great does not include stuff like:
    - Dragon Age: Inquistion
    - Borderlands the Pre-Sequel
that should not be in anyone's decent top, especially considering the quality of 2014.

    Strategy:

    - Sid Meiers Civilization Beyond Earth

    As Mhaedros said.

There was a reason I posted the above.

We are not missing anything. If a game is not included in the final vote it is because the people of TWC did not nominate it enough to warrant a presence in the vote, we did not decide which games are included.

Dark souls II is in the RPG Category, but isnt in this category? The game devs confirmed it to be action adventure. Not RPG

Dark Souls II only received nominations for the RPG category; not a single person nominated it for action adventure. Again, members of the TWC community are responsible for the nomination process.

And I have heard it described as an RPG as well as action adventure.

I think of Dark Souls as being an RPG. Action adventure's a bit of a useless genre name anyway, as PC Gamer helpfully pointed out:
Action: A niche genre defined by things happening, sometimes things involving movement.

The voting has now concluded, and the threads have been closed. I will keep this thread open for further discussion, and the results will be announced with the next issue of the Gamer's Gazette, and then posted here as well.

Thank you everyone for participating. We will do this again next year.
