    Default random questions

First off thanks for the great mod, i appreciate your hard work.

    few questions for you

I am raiding my enemy and my spy tells my they have -4 and -5 food in their two provinces. Shouldnt they be losing men to attrition?

At times i have raided my enemy just across my province line (but inside the enemy province) yet my province suffered public order penalty of -10 per army. Is this a bug? (doesnt do this when i am farther into their province)

Is the cost for some of the later technologies a per turn cost of a one time cost? I seem to be losing money from what i can tell without explanation.

There are two new edicts available called commercial stimulation and sell slaves. Is it an effective strategy to build slave population with commercial stimulation and then run sell slaves to get rid of them?

how do i recruit the germanic longbowman as lugii?

    Thanks

The tech costs are every turn, and don't show up in the income prediction

Subtracting a few food from a province usually won't put them into negative. Attrition from food happens on a faction scale not on a provincial scale (that I know of).

The raiding thing I suppose is from being on the border, I don't really know.

The Lugii have their own roster, different from the Suebi. I believe their archers are in the tier 3 and 4 woodworker.

Food need be negative on the faction scale, then when it is, attrition happens only inside provinces that have negative food production. Else, negative provinces are balanced out by positive provinces and everyone is being fed properly across the faction.

On raiding, maybe you put your army on a spot where the game thinks it is on 2 different regions at the same time. Just move it as close as possible without being on top of the borders to avoid that (I never suffered from that personaly, it seems strange, maybe you were not raiding the enemy at all and only yourself).

Didnt try a sell<->grow slaves edict trick, maybe if you have no public order problem its a good idea to do just that. If its a too good idea it might get nerfed accordingly because it does sound OP if the return on investment is too big.

As for the attrition situation the suebi have two total provinces with 1 being -5 and the other -4 for a total of -9 across their faction. This is based off what my spy is telling me by hovering over that eye icon. They are not suffering a attrition at all in either province. Have others noticed enemy attrition after raiding them?

The AI gets a bonus to food also. This is because when they get larger they have no idea how to handle food in Rome 2 and so larger empires starve.

Doesn't this show up in the provincial stats though? Or is it a hidden bonus?

The income, PO and food bonus for the AI is a hidden bonus that increases as you increase the campaign difficulty. Would have been awesome if the AI could handle it like a human so one could really punish them with blockades and raides.

Thanks - it's good that's it's hidden. The values I see in foreign settlements are not hyper inflated and will be close to the values I will inherit if it's captured

...also explains the food problem above!

I have idea, what if armys only caused PO Negative in large major cites. And smaller minor settlements would give no PO as long as they have the watch tower building built. So it can serve as an military outpost. In the army Fortfity stance it is to easy to be cut off form reinforcements.

IMO, small armies should give some PO; after what, 3 or 4 units the bonus starts goin negative. Having 200 extra guys on patrol would calm stuff down, 2000 drinking and smashin wouldn't
