my mod is not being installed or activated

hello, ok....i've been up for almost 27 hours now and I believe i've finished my first ever mod which is to add a new unit to ma'in faction. I've seen and followed step by step around 40 vids on youtube to get there. Thing is i've already put my mod in the data folder and put a pic in png format for that and all. It never appears in the mod manager. What i've been doing wrong? I also made it a movie and also nothing is there. Please help

sorry Magnar, I'm really new to this and not really into these type of coding and all. So I downloaded a master schema from your thread and copied that to my pfm folder and still doesn't work. Do I need to make a new mod now? or just leave it as it is?

your yellow table will need to be redone

so I deleted the land unit table and and brought it again from rome2_data and in the rome2_data the table is originally yellow! i took it anyway and made my changes and still nothing.....
