    Icon13 Walking speed.

    Walking/Marching on the battle map is far too slow, is this up for revision? If not I'll make a sub-mod. Because walking at an exhausted pace is bad, both people and horses look like they walk in slow motion, making running everywhere the only viable way to get around. Which is bad game play. :/

    Walking speed has been increased almost 50% or more from DeI 0.96.

    huh?Then something must be wrong... My Romans are walking at the same pase exhausted men run up hill. Basically not moving at all.

    Maybe you're using a mod that conflicts with DeI tables?

    That's the only thing I can think of as so far I can run my units for quite a while.

    Do not change walking speed! Slow = good. RTW2 battle fields are so small that it already prevents many tactis. I don't want to see troops flying here and there which will make space and terrain even less siginficant

    i think the pike phalanx walking speed is a little too fast, but everything else is pretty much top!

    Any chance that cataphracts will get a little boost the their running speed? Yes, they are very heavy shock cavalary, but when some infantry units can almost keep up with their running speed, it just seems wrong. I don't how fast they were in reality, were they that slow?

    As far as I know from discussion in Invasio Barbarorum forum and also iirc JaM cataphracts in general have lots of weight to carry especially due to the armor and lance(wrong term). To constantly run would fatigue the horses too much and can even kill the horses. Having tired horses charging heavy infantry is not ideal especially when in a melee situation; especially with the later evolutions of the cataphracts, late sassanid cataphracts were cataphracts on steroids 100% armor, lance and melee.

    correct me if I am really wrong someone who is more knowledgable on this matter can perhaps provide a better answer.

    I just did a battle in the rain and it was fine, but 2 battles in the Italian heat of day ("Dry") and they were walking in slow motion?

    I have no other mods enabled.

    On what graphics do you play? I know that some terrerian details won't show up, but they can cause units to go into crawl speed instead of regular walk.

    It has happened to me, after my light cavalry was scouting. If they come into contact with the enemy or charge they don't run again...they just walk and get destroyed. Sometimes cavalry is on active level of fatigue but they don't charge anymore
