is Athens broken ?

I cant recruit any units units ? Was it changed to only be a mercenary faction to start off ?

That sounds like the bug you get when you have a mod that changes the faction symbol and colour of Athens!

yes i was just testing it out and its a athens who has that issue just letting the team know ! it should be under bug but i truly thought something was changed for 1.0

Check for mod conflicts. Athens should work fine!

i use the rome 2 manager so i set the mods in order the odd thing is that their isn't a "conflict" but its nolf mod in the end.

It's a mod conflict with mods like Noif's Faction Emblems. The problem is on that mod's end, not DeI's.

is it just athens or factions too? i played a campaign using one of his spartan emblems and didnt have any issues that i noticed.

nevermind found the answer.

The conflicting thing was military group parameter in factions_tables. In DeI they don't have athens_syracuse group, but a separate for each of the two. So, there were no units belonging to that pool. And sorry for necroing.

just athens man , i think after 1.0 it just doesnt work. I have a few factions with a different icons and it gives me no issues

Its been a few versions now. For some reason Noif and some other faction emblem mods change the faction table. I have no idea why when they an simply overwrite the existing entries in vanilla.

But, we have custom military groups so overwriting the faction table will negatively impact various cultures.
