    Default IB2 "Start Game" Issue

    Hello IB2 creators,

I'm having a bit of an issue with the most recent releases of Vandalorum and Conquestus Britanniae.
When I click on "Start" when in the "Choose Faction" menu, the new game doesn't start.
The game seems to freeze, except for the music and the mouse cursor, which continuously rotates as if processing.
The "Start" button remains "pressed in" as if I had just clicked it.
If I "Ctrl-Alt-Delete" and pull up Task Manager, it says that Medieval II Total War is "Not responding".

I didn't have this problem before installing the newest versions, Vandalorum II and CB III.
I've checked Virtual Store, but I recall having disabled that years ago anyways.
I've tried reinstalling twice, the second time completely deleting all IB2 data before installing again.
    Again checked Virtual Store.

I feel as if I've had this issue before, maybe a year or more ago, and that the answer was rather a simple solution..
But I can't remember it, and my understanding of TW data & mod installation has atrophied in the past year or so.
    So please help!

To note, this is only happening with the two released IB2 mods.
For example, EBII is not suffering from this problem.

    Thanks,
    BF

    Hi Bastard Welcome
    You installed the patch too?

    No, not using Steam.
And yes, I've installed the Vandalorum II Patch III.

It may take a very long time for your game to regenerate the map_rwm file so you could be waiting 5 minutes after pressing the start button. It can be unusually a long wait
