Default Poll: Do I still use the book building found in each settlement in MOS, TATW, or DAC?

I am doing this poll because I am creating a more in depth strategy mod for TATW... it will involve "prestige" points similar to power points in BFME2, and will allow the player to invest into doctrines to improve their army and provide elite units. To do this I need to delete buildings from MOS and DAC if I am going to port and I would need to delete the 14 building trees that create the regional tooltips. Thanks.

I deleted all those book buildings to add new ones in PCP when the book buildings were first released, no one ever complained or mentioned it. The books do not offer any replay value (arguably the most important aspect), your idea sounds like it would.

The books are something really interesting in my opinion. It brings lore, immersion and they are lore friendly. One of KK's greatest ideas.

If you can, keep it, thats my opinion.

I once had a project to make such a doctrine system like that for TATW but as no coder came to help the project was abandoned.

It was a good idea, but it takes up a lot of space in a file that doesn't have much space. I would have kept them if I could, but that space can be put to better use by adding to the tech tree or this doctrine thing which adds another level of gameplay and replayability. I would imagine 99% of people only read the book once for each region, and they can do that in vanilla. So I would say they aren't needed in submods.

Another possibility is the guild trees... they feel unlore in a TATW game, and I think they take up 11 buildings...that would give 14 available for MOS.... One long distant plan it to create a pdf with the book info, pictures included, Called it Middle Earth Compendium and people can alt-tab to look at it if need be....that would open up 27 building trees...

I am using a handful from PCP, like the mills and Storage plots because those are needed to make and store the "food" resource which is necessary to recruit.

A pdf guide should not be to hard to create right? I mean most of the information is already in the game.

    The info picture
    The info text
so only thing that I would add would be the a map showing which region is located where.

If somebody can point me to where the info pictures and text can be found I could make something like that.

Is there any possibility that instead of green books (which taking place in building tree) you could use advisor help text windows to keep lore for each setlement, map area, time trigger etc.... Because creating some pdf isn't good way. I think that all should be in one place no need to use alt+tab to see some important desciption, mission or whatever.
