General position

Hey,

I'm playing with dwarves and would like to know if there is a way to put my general behind the other noblemen from this group. He just dies everytime because he is on the left front side. This is just annoying, I can't use my dwarven generals in battle. Moreover he has just a sword and no spear like the others. Why!?

There is a way around this. Some mods add captains and banner carriers to give the general a bit of a buffer zone so that he doesnt immidiately get stabbed in the face. You also might consider using him as a reserve and commiting to battle alongside another unit.

Yes, but the awesome thing with generals is, that they refill themselves. The unit is amazing. You can kill thousand bandits with one stack dwarven noblemen. BUT the general dies first because of his position and his stupid weapon (sword and not a very long spear).

what I usually do is this: I position the unit sidewards to the enemy with the general furthest away. When they come close I charge and then the general will be at a pretty safe position
