    Default Game Available in Denmark!

Dont know if this is old news or not but i got the game yesterday.
Again if the next 10 reply's will be something like "OOLLLD!" just delete this thread.. ^^.

Called betafon.dk at 10 am and asked them when it was gonna be out, he told...well today mate.
3 min's later i was in the car heavily speeding to drive the 80km's to the store, with my comp.
Had to set it up at a friend as to not waste time driving back home again before i could play it.
And if anyone is in doubt buy the collectors edition, its well worth it.
All kinds of maps and tech tree's and a little tin figure of a medieval knight
Plus the music score on a cd too.

Yep. Betafon has a long tradition of jumping the gun on releases (I got CK2 there early as well). So does....certain other shops in the city as well. I was visiting Malmö and Copenhagen this weekend and picked it up before I left on monday morning.

[edit]: I tried it out yesterday evening. My AMD Athlon 64 2,4GHz, Gainward Geforce 5700 256MB DDR(1)with 1 gig DDR(1) runs the game smoothly on medium settings. It's not too bad, overall. Much fewer fantasy units than Rome (although some of the muslim artillery seems a bit dodgy, it's not as bad as Screaming Women, and potential screamers like Danish War Clerics turned out to be Bishop's retinues instead), the castle/city system works fine, as does the Guild system (although I can't get the religious guilds to give me chapter houses even with my intense crusading fervor). Storming castles is fun and bloody, whereas storming cities is like Rome. I can't find the faction unlock in the preferences file (I did not look very hard), so I've been playing France.

Some complaints is that the battles require a lot of pause button work as they go really fast. I haven't played Rome vanilla in a long time, so perhaps it's just the same, but that cavalry shoots across the screen in seconds and the infantry is really energetic. Crusading armies are well implemented, but the aftermath is a bit of a bore, as the distance-to-capital penalties and religious penalties means that the christian factions have to leave a trail of exterminated and smoking cities to have any chance of holding on to crusading gains. The Aztecs are irritating. They have very good stats and morale and cause fear and have bigger units than the old world factions, so they seemed to have been beefed up too much. I haven't gotten to them in the campaign, though.

Yep, I didn't want to mention the shop, but that's where I got my copy. I posted a thread here in the forum about my impression.

Why do Euro's always seem to get games earlier than was intended? Happens all the time, especially in Scandanavia it seems.

Happens maybe in Denmark and Sweden but never in Finland. We are just too law-abiding. And we get the shipments later due to our location. Gameshops are getting first shipments today or tomorrow, but all that I have talked to are keeping with 10th releasedate.
